Bill and Jane Moriarty started breeding Thoroughbreds in upstate New York in the early
1970s. Initially, with just a few broodmares and a couple of acres they started what would
become their life’s passion.
The Moriarty’s have dedicated their lives to raising the high quality thoroughbreds and
show ponies standing anywhere from 4 to 7 stallions a season. Since 2006, the Moriarty
family have focused primarily on developing a race horse breeding operation standing two
stallions and acquiring quality mares to support these stallions.
Apache Farm sits a few miles outside of Camden, South Carolina just 1.5 miles off Rte.
521 on Cantey Lane. Our 80 acres of double fenced pastures and paddocks are filled
with youngsters and mares of all ages.
The farm’s facilities includes a Labor and Delivery Wing with 12 stalls that measure 15’ by
15’. Apache Farm has an additional two barns for boarding mares, weanlings, and yearlings.
Apache Farm also provides critical early foal and yearling handling prior to transfer to a
training center. Apache farm also has a riding surface with a full hunt course for our Show
Horse clientelle.
